KALEKO is a new= Berlin musical and visual project created in 2014 by Sebastian Klein and T= homas Will. The project consists of KALEKO music itself and a fictional uni= verse depicting a "virtual band" of cartoon characters. This band has four = animated members: Dr. Owlglass (lead vocalist, guitar), Pihi Apollinaire (b= ass guitar), Golda Bleibtreu (keyboard and drum machine bass guitar) and do= g Lucha (snapping and barking).

KISS THE CUP is their first release and a theme so= ng for the FIFA World Cup held in Brasilia. The song is an encouragem= ent for the players to fight with passion and win the cup. It will be= released together with the B-Side WHERE FOOTBALL IS LOVE<= strong> . The alternative version is dealing with the Football Wor= ld Cup from the fans perspective, as place to come and celebrate together p= eacefully.

The artist name KALEKO is a reminiscence to Mascha Kaleko, a jewish germ= an language poet. She attained famous at an early age by capturing th= e athmosphere of Berlin in the early 1930s, before her writings were banned= under Nazism. Her extraordinary sense of humor, cynical neo romantic tone&= nbsp; and the ability for playing on words kept her work fresh over t= he years.
